My husband and I got the guided musheoom experience, it was very generous! We absolutely needed help getting up after so much good food. We definitely want to go back. Service and greeting is great, the team there are welcoming and warm. Only downside is for a 7 course meal plan, it was so slow that from ordering time to receiving the last dish it was 2 hours, the seats are not made for such long durations.

Vegan restaurant! We were looking for 100% vegan restaurants in Amsterdam and this one is one of them we visited. Somewhat fancy menus are available like lion’s mane mushrooms looking like a well seasoned stakes. The presentation looks great. Some of seasonings are very tasty but too strong here and there. After eating this meal, we had to drink so much water. I think as for some of mushrooms dishes, they tried to hide the mushrooms blend taste and put too much. Otherwise, it was beautiful dinner we had. We ordered Korean chicken wings (too salty and too much seasoning and too deep fried), steak (lion’s mane mushroom- our favorite) and corn and grilled veggies.

Definitely worth trying it out. I wanted to come visit Mr. Watson already 4 years ago before they closed shop in Amsterdam during Covid and I was thrilled that it reopened now. The vibe in the venue is cool and laid back with botanical elements and techno beats playing in the background. The staff is really great and esp the restaurant manager, who helped us throughout the entire evening was amazing! Engaging, professional but with his own character and super personable. I must say, I was really excited for the cheese platters which they used to serve but unfortunately it’s currently not on the Menu (might return tho) Nonetheless, we had a great culinary experience. It’s a mushroom themed, fully plant based menu and it just overflows in creativity! We had the focaccia and oyster mushroom chicken wings to start. The focaccia was great! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and together with the homemade hummus TODIEFOR. The “chicken” wings were also good although for my taste a bit too much fried batter around relatively skinny oyster mushrooms. I would have wished they were a bit juicier. As a main we shared the tacos, which came with a gravy like sauce and were delicious and finally the lion’s mane steak. The steak was definitely the highlight of the dinner. It’s homegrown lions mane mushroom served in a red-wine sauce that is just mouth watering. The steak is tender and juicy and almost makes you question whether it really is vegan. To round it off we had a lemon olive oil tart which i personally loved. They also have a good wine selection. We’ll definitely come back. Probably when they have the cheese on the menu again 😉

Great surprise, we were looking for a brunch near this place, Mr Watson was a very pleasant experience ! Plant based recipes, including some great mushrooms (Lion’s Maine, Cordyceps..) to make sure you remember this place positively all day long ! Great food, drinks and service all the way ! Fully recommend !
